Bobby Cox is a great manager and leader. Since taking on the Atlanta Braves in 1990, he has tranformed the team from the bottom of the division to the team that beat all in the National League.
Cox is the ninth-winningest manager in major league history, with 2,002 wins before the start of the 2005 season. His Braves have won their division every year from 1991-2004, and he lead his team to four World Series, including a World Series championship in 1995. In 2001 he became the winningest manager in Braves history. At the beginning of the 2004 season, many sports reporters predicted that the Bravese long run of titles would come to an end, but Cox lead his team of underdogs to another division title and, as a result, was awarded the Manager of the Year award.
