Rachel Hunter, the stunning actress and supermodel, is best known for her appearances in Sports Illustrated and her role in movies like "Rock Star" (2001).
Born in Auckland, Rachel burst onto the international modeling scene in 1986 at age 17. She quickly rose to prominence after posing as a “Sports Illustrated” model in 1989 and became one of the most photographed international cover models in the world.
More recently, Rachel has been taking acting lessons and building her acting resume. Beginning with several televisions appearances on The Drew Carey Show and Suddenly Susan, Rachel quickly made the transition into feature films and recently completed her seventh independent film. Her film credits include A Walk in the Park, Two Shades of Blue and Just a Little Harmless Sex, among others. She has appeared in a number of music videos, including the chart topping Stacey’s Mom by Fountains of Wayne. Rachel has also appeared on a variety of reality television programs, including Dancing with the Stars and The Real Gilligan’s Island, and the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. She was a judge on Are You Hot? and the host of Britain’s Make Me a Supermodel and WE’s Style Me With Rachel Hunter.
In 2007 Rachel launched Lola by Rachel Hunter, a range of cutting edge swimsuits that are affordable and possess the same sense of style, sexiness and originality she’s seen on fashion runways around the world. She plans to launch a full clothing range in August 2008.
Rachel is an ambassador to the Born Free Foundation, an organization that helps to prevent animal suffering, protect threatened species and keep wildlife in the wild. She established the Rachel Hunter Gorilla Fund. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she juggles modeling and acting careers with her role of mother to her son Liam and daughter Renee, whom she shares with Rod Stewart.
