    Tara Lipinski is the youngest Olympic, World, and US National figure skating champion in history, and surpassed Sonja Henie's long standing records when she won a world championship at the young age of 14.

    Continuing her streak in breaking age records, Tara became the youngest ever World Professional Ladies Champion at age 17 in 1999. In her last two years as an amateur, Tara dominated her sport by placing first in five of the six major competitions held. As a professional, Tara continues her winning ways - she is undefeated in every professional competition.

    Since the Olympic Games, Tara and her parents, Pat and Jack have called Sugar Land, Texas home. Tara and her mother left Sugar Land in 1993 to train in Newark, Delaware. In 1995, they relocated to Bloomfield, Michigan to skate at the famed Detroit Skating Club. Today, Tara trains in Texas with her long-time coach Megan Faulkner. Tara continues to work with Craig Maurize, with whom she trained in Michigan.

    In 1998, Tara joined the world's premier skating tour Stars On Ice, currently in its second year of sponsorship by Target. As a co-headliner, she is joined by Olympic Gold Medallists Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Ilia Kulik and World Champion Kurt Browning.

    Tara has also been taking her talents onto the television screen. Following her dramatic debut on CBS's top rated Touched By An Angel, Tara signed on for a season with the country's most popular soap opera, The Young & The Restless. Her acting credits include star billing in an episode of Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? and second star billing in the TV movie Ice Angel which aired on Fox Family Channel. Tara has also appeared in episodes of Early Edition, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Veronica's Closet. She has also been a celebrity guest on VH-1's show The List, Fox's Beach Party and several Nickelodeon productions. In 1999, CBS aired a primetime special Tara Lipinski - From This Moment.

    Tara's endorsement portfolio is impressive. She is a vivacious, attractive spokesperson with excellent Q scores. She has worked with many name corporations including McDonalds, Charles Schwab, Mattel, Chevrolet, Snapple, Campbell's Soup, DKNY, Minute Maid, Capezio and others.

    Tara is particularly proud of the recognition she received from her fans. In 1999 and 2000 she was voted Best Female Athlete at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and in 1999 she won Best Female Athlete at the inaugural Fox Teen Choice Awards. She received similar awards from Teen People and Teen Magazine. She has been recognized by the American Academy of Achievement, the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Foundation and many other organizations.

    Her accomplishments were recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee when they named her the 1997 Female Athlete of the Year.

    Tara has two books in publication: Totally Tara - An Olympic Journey and Triumph On Ice. Tara has graced the covers of magazines and made appearances on MTV, Oprah, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, , Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, PrimeTime Live, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee and others.

    Regardless of the other commitments in her life, Tara makes it a priority to donate her time and financial support to a number of organizations. Joining Shaquille O'Neal and Denzel Washington, Tara is a national spokesperson for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. She is also a spokesperson for the campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and the Childhood Leukemia Foundation. Tara is also involved with the Office of National Drug Control Policy anti-drug campaign. Her anti-drug PSA aired nationwide on TV and in theaters during 2000. Her involvement in bringing the message of a Drug Free America continues. Her dedication to children in need is manifest in her work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Children's Circle of Care, the philanthropic organization for Children's Hospitals nationwide.

    In her spare time, Tara enjoys being at home with friends. An animal lover, she has five dogs ranging in size from a Maltese to a Golden Retriever. She appreciates good music and enjoys shopping and movies. Her hobbies include cooking and needlepoint.
